One of my favorite times to visit Meiji Shrine in Tokyo is in the last week of December when workmen are busy setting the ramps and guideposts for the multitude of visitors that will visit starting New Year's Eve and continuing through much of January. I made these two images on December 25, 2004, when I was living within walking distance of the shrine.
